Namaqua Lodge is located in Vanrhynsdorp, in the heart of Namaqualand, 300 km north of Cape Town and 270 km south of Springbok.

A family business at heart

Innes and Jenny Spies repurchased Namaqua Lodge from their father in 1995 and have been the owners since then. They brought a hard-working, service-oriented attitude to the Lodge.

The Lodge was known as the old Commercial Hotel and, before that, the North-Western Hotel. The building is approximately 100 years old, with various changes to its structure over the years.

We have grown our Lodge together with our luxury touring company, Namakwa Toere, to include destinations in Namibia, Botswana, the Kalahari, the West Coast, the Garden Route, and our very own Namaqualand Flower Tours. These tours use Namaqua Lodge as a stopover for our guests.

Our hospitality is well known, and you can be sure of a wonderful stay at our lodge.

Standard Room

Our Standard Single rooms are ideal for the single traveller or business person looking for an extended or overnight stay. Each room is equipped with a double, queen, or king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom with a shower or bath, and a coffee/tea station. All rooms are air-conditioned and secure inside the Lodge. Standard Double/ Twin

Our Standard Double/Twin rooms are a jack-of-all-trades, ideal for couples on holiday, business travellers looking to share a room, parents looking for a separate room for the kids, or just guests looking to share a room. Honeymoon Suite

Our Honeymoon Suite is our most luxurious room, perfect for couples celebrating a special occasion on their trip or simply looking to travel in style. Self-Catering House

Suitable for families or groups travelling together. The house is private, with a large kitchen and communal area. It consists of 5 rooms: 1 family room, three twin or double rooms, and one double room. Each room has its own en-suite bathroom with a shower. The kitchen includes all basic appliances, cutlery, and basic supplies. Braai facilities available. All services available at Namaqua Lodge apply.
